FROM the streets of Hollywood to a Rockhampton boutique – designer label Ed Hardy has arrived.
Ladies you can now add a touch of celebrity style to your wardrobe with the introduction of one of the world’s most sought after brands, thanks to one woman’s determination to keep the fashion stakes in Rockhampton at its best.
Va Voom manager Georgina Marshall is forever on the hunt to bring the big city look back to the beef capital.
You may have recognised the hottest trend on the likes of celebrities such as Britney Spears, David Beckham and Madonna.
So when the Ed Hardy range by Christian Audiger became the air jordan available to boutique stockists she jumped at the exclusive opportunity. Now the range, featuring a blend of tattoo art work by the “God Father of Tattoo” Don Ed Hardy, is in stock at Va Voom at the Redhill Homemaker Centre.
“I wanted to stock the range because it’s such a world wide recognised label,” Mrs Marshall said.
“It’s also the first time Ed Hardy has been introduced into boutiques – it’s very exclusive.”
The look of Ed Hardy blends the Californian lifestyle with rock n roll and will appeal to the fasihonista that wants to stand out.
“The collection is extravagant and exclusive and for anyone after the cheap clothes celebrity look,” Mrs Marshall said.
Introducing Ed Hardy is all part of Va Voom’s ever expanding empire.
"They're getting shafted twice. You think you're paying for an original, but it's not -- and it's not cheap," Boston police Sgt. Detective Kim Gaddy said. Some customers said they know what they're paying for, and while they'd rather buy the authentic product, that's not always an option."There's economic problems out here and people have problems buying real sneakers. But I'm not a 'knock off' person, just so you know, but the reality is, people need sneakers," said Don Jeffs, a customer.
Mrs Marshall said the store, which once focused on fine jewellery and accessories, was now expanding to clothing and shoes.
“We’re a boutique that you can dress you from head to toe,” she said.
And don't feel left out dudes: JWoWW is also creating a menswear line created for the GTL-living juicehead. The guido-focused selection will include jeans, blazers and shirts (presumably adorned with sparkly glitter-dragons).
“We’re bringing the city to the country and keeping in line with offering exclusive labels and one off pieces.”
Ed Hardy’s women’s clothing and kids range is selling fast, with prices starting from the low $100s.
By the end of the year a men’s range will be available.
The collection ranges from simple t-shirts and scarves through to rhinestone covered jackets.
