Madonna Launches ‘Material Girl’ Clothing Line

for sale in cheap clothes

Joining forces with Iconix to bring my fashion ideas to consumers is very exciting for me. I look forward to working closely with Neil and his team to create and translate my vision and ideas for MG Icon.”Madge will not only endorse her line, but she’s also the cheap clothes open to endorse other Iconix brands such as Ed Hardy or Danskins.

The Material Girl clothing line that’s aimed for 13 to 25 year olds will consist of apparel, footwear, handbags and jewelry — with prices ranging from $12 to $40.

According to E! Online reports, the Mean Girls star, who was given the boot from Emanuel Ungaro after producing an unimpressive collection for the fashion brand, will be working for the debunked reality star's favourite clothing line—Ed Hardy.

As creative director of 6126, Lohan has tapped designer the polo ralph lauren Paz Shakked Wolf (formerly of Dolce & Gabbana and Tarina Tarantino) to create the bags for the three-year licensing deal with California Bag Co.It will be the first time Lindsay will be working behind the scenes on handbags for a brand.

The leggings collection is expanding into handbags and a full clothing collection set to hit stores in July. Earlier this week, rumors circulated that Lohan would be collaborating on a bag line with Ed Hardy. But the only connection there is the California Bag Co., the licensee that produces the Ed Hardy bags and, now, 6126. That piece of news came as a giant relief, because the visual that flew through my head upon hearing about a possible collaboration between Lohan and Ed Hardy was truly frightening.

"Lindsay is very directly involved with the project, and she's always pulling things online and from magazines for ideas," added the source. cheap clothes blog

Lindsay Lohan Not Making Bags For Ed Hardy

Jon Gosselin – known for his love of bejeweled shirts – might have a new gift for future girlfriends, but it won’t be designed by Lindsay Lohan for Ed Hardy. Despite a report from E! Online on Tuesday, Lindsay is not designing for the brand. “fyi….. i am NOT designing for Ed Hardy… JUST 6126 (my line),” she Tweeted on Tuesday night.

Michelle “Bombshell” McGee Dropped: It appears even the Angry White Girl fashion line has it’s limits. According to the cheap clothes, Michelle “Bombshell” McGee – the woman who claims she had an affair with Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James – has been dropped as a model after photos of her sporting Nazi gear surfaced. label head Jimmy Ferrari told the paper. “While the name for my fashion line is politically incorrect, it has no links to racism or fascism or white supremacy. The 37-year-old burlesque stripping queen amusingly tweeted, “Been in LA [for] 15 mins, already saw TMZ, two Ed Hardy shirts and a guy shaving his head on his front lawn.”

JLove Not So Angry: Jennifer Love Hewitt might be single again, but she’s not throwing herself a pity party for one! “It’s fine. Everyone’s a grown-up. It just is what it is,” she told USA Today.“She told me she’d do it for free clothes, although it seems she rarely wears any,” “It’s what life handed me, and I’m OK with it. I know wholeheartedly that I’m a really good partner. I think I’m a really good girlfriend, and I think that I could be a really good wife. I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me.” Girl, find a picture of a man (might we suggest “Thor’s” Chris Hemsworth) and put him on your vision board and it will all be OK! Or, if you need a pick me up, just call up your vagazzler!

Apparel company undertakes change

"The turnaround is in full swing," said Eric Beder, senior vice president with Brean Murray, Carret & Co. "They've done a great job of undertakes responding in a crisis and turning it into a better company. They really used the time to rethink who they were and what the stood for."

"There are going to be a lot of deals [this year]," said Eric Beder, analyst at Brean Murray, Carret & Co. Beder noted the large cash holdings of some apparel manufacturers, an increase in the availability of financing and a rebound in consumer demand, as deal catalysts. Still, those deals are likely to be far smaller than the Phillips-Van Heusen pact, he said.

Before the bell Monday, The Wall Street Journal confirmed the Hilfiger deal which was the first major acquisition in retail circles in years. Due to the downturn, several apparel manufacturers had cut back on production, expenses and employees to adjust to falling demand, along with any significant deal-making.

A difficult year ended with a strong finish for Perry Ellis, as the Miami apparel company realized the benefits of its turnaround strategy.

By getting out of unprofitable businesses, adding new areas for growth and improving profit margins, Perry Ellis on Friday reported fourth quarter results that exceeded analysts' expectations. The company reported net income for the fourth quarter ending Jan. 31 of $8.5 million, or 64 cents a share, compared with a loss of $21.6 million, or $1.58 a share, a year ago. Analysts were expecting earnings of 59 cents per share.

However, watchers say demand from department stores, which accounts for the majority of apparel makers' customers in the U.S., has seen an uptick in recent months. As a result, companies want to make sure they are well positioned to take advantage of the increase in consumer spending.

Within the apparel space, Warnaco Group Inc. (WRC) is largely seen as a likely acquirer in the coming year due its part to its substantial cash holdings. Yet, long-held speculation that Phillips-Van Heusen and Warnaco would combine the Calvin Klein label under one roof may be shelved by some as Phillips-Van Heusen may have spent its immediate war chest.

Perry Ellis International Inc. (PERY) is also seen in the industry as a potential buyer because of the strength of its balance sheet and brand strength, said Brian Sozzi, an analyst at Wall Street Strategies Inc. In addition, According to reports, Tiger may return at the Masters during the pick season and it is good news for golf retailers at this moment. Chairman and Chief executive of Golfsmith, a retail chain of 74 stores providing Golf and Tennis equipment said Tiger’s return to professional golf is happening at a perfect time forretail business of this sport and they are looking forward to it.

Tiger is sponsored by Nike which manufactures and sells golf clothing apparel like T-shirt, pant, sweaters, jackets etc. After big sponsors like AT&T, Gillette and Accenture dropped Tiger from their endorsement, Nike is still continuing with him as Tiger’s immense popularity

surf-wear maker Quiksilver Inc. (ZQK) has been rumored as a potential target.

Warnaco, Perry Ellis and Quiksilver weren't immediately available for comment.

Perry Ellis ended the year with a profit of $13.2 million or $1.01 per fully diluted share. That compares to a net loss of $12.9 million or $.89 per fully diluted share, for the same period last year.

The agreement begins July 1. The school will meet with Nike officials next week to go over what the new uniforms for all fall sports will look like.

"No question, we will see a new jersey," Chambers said. "A new uniform. It will be exciting."

During 2009, Perry Ellis aggressively cut costs by getting out of non-performing businesses like men's specialty stores, private label and outerwear.

"When you're doing well you try to keep the weak sister and you try to cure her," Chairman George Feldenkreis said.

"We decided we had to have surgery."

Perry Ellis said that for Fiscal 2011 it anticipates earnings per fully diluted share of between $1.25 and $1.40. Revenues are predicted to be in the range of $770 million to $790 million, a low- to mid-single digit gain.

By cutting costs and controlling expenses, Perry Ellis reduced selling, general and administrative expenses by $36 million, or 15 percent, for the fiscal year ending in January.

The turnaround was helped by a strong fourth quarter performance from the signature Perry Ellis brand, as well as the launch of new apparel contracts with Callaway Golf and a license for Pierre Cardin.

“Selfishly, this is perfect,” said Martin E. Hanaka, chairman and chief executive of Golfsmith, a 74-store golf and tennis retail chain. “The season’s kicking off. The Masters is the No. 1 event. Spring is blooming. People are itching to get out there.”

Woods is the star of cheap clothes Golf, which produces apparel including his high-end TW shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets and vests. Victory Red, which evokes the shirt color that Woods wears on Sundays, is a golf club brand within the broader Nike line.

The Perry Ellis brand benefited from efforts to refocus its product assortment on an updated classic look, which the brand had gotten away from in 2008 and early 2009. The success of the new merchandise mix helped dramatically reduce the amount of air jordan markdown dollars Perry Ellis had to give back to Macy's and other retailers.

"As we reinvented the line with what Perry Ellis should be, it started to outsell everybody else," Feldenkreis said.

"Before, they were all dropping Perry Ellis. Now they are clamoring to get it back."

Feldenkreis also said he believes the company is benefiting as consumer spending returns, forcing retailers to start to increase inventory levels to meet demand.

Beder says most transactions would likely be "expansion" deals with the larger companies snapping up smaller, private companies to boost their presence in a specific market.

Still, although there are signs that shoppers are returning to stores, some analysts don't expect them to spend at the pre-recession levels any time soon. That may cause some investors to think twice before doing an acquisition.

"They are offering a realistic plan to investors that they can beat," said Beder, who reaffirmed his "buy'' rating on the stock and raised the price target to $27 per share. ‘‘That's always good news for investors."

Perry Ellis' stock has gained about 40 percent over the last month.

If Woods Plays Well, for sale Retailers Will Smile

Woods is the star of cheap clothes Golf, which produces apparel including his high-end TW shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets and vests. Victory Red, which evokes the shirt color that Woods wears on Sundays, is a golf club brand within the broader Nike line.

“Selfishly, this is perfect,” said Martin E. Hanaka, chairman and chief executive of Golfsmith, a 74-store golf and tennis retail chain. “The season’s kicking off. The Masters is the No. 1 event. Spring is blooming.air jordan People are itching to get out there.”

His presence has put a halo over the Nike line, golf retailing and golf as an industry. Nike has stood by Woods since his one-car accident on Thanksgiving weekend eventually led to a sex scandal.Web site, which currently features Justin Leonard on its home page, seems to be using Woods sparingly.

“Going forward, as he returns to golf, how Nike Golf positions him is going to be a very sensitive topic,” said Terry McAndrew, editor of the Web Street Golf Report.

Retailers simply hope that he will play well once he returns and increase sales.

“The day after he wins, our stores are packed,” Hanaka said. "No question, we will see a new jersey," Chambers said. "A new uniform. It will be exciting."

Golfsmith and the New York Golf Center say that, at worst, sales of Woods clothing have dipped a bit. “When it happened, we didn’t have deep inventories,” Hanaka said. “Then we went to 20 percent off, and his stuff moved pretty well.”

Gary Lynch, a salesman at the New York Golf Center on West 35th Street near Broadway, said Woods’s clothing line was hurt because women were less eager to buy his $100 shirts or $130 pants for their golf-playing husbands. In addition, with Woods not playing, the store’s front display table could not lay out his popular Thursday-to-Sunday schedule of shirts.

“We were still getting Nike inventory, but it wasn’t related to anything,” he said.

The two retailers said Woods’s troubles had no discernible effect on Nike equipment sales, in particular the Victory Red club line, which includes an $899.99 iron.

On Friday, Tom Gessner of East Rockaway, N.Y., was test-swinging irons at the golf center. He has long favored Mizunos and was swinging models of that brand, as well as Callaways and Nikes. He said he was considering Victory Red despite Woods’s transgressions.

“That wouldn’t affect what the club does for me,” he said. “It only matters how it performs.”

Nike would not offer any details about its golf apparel and equipment sales — or whether the Woods scandal affected them — during the three months ended Feb. 28. The third-quarter report, released last week, provided no results for Nike Golf.

Analysts said that they did not think the scandal had hurt Nike’s golf sales.

Tom Stine, a founder of Golf Datatech, said, “We know that he’s a positive in making consumers aware of the Nike brand, but we don’t have any evidence that people are going to be turned off to the brand because of him.”

Last November, adidas abruptly ended its apparel and shoe contract with Central Florida after Marcus Jordan, freshman basketball player and son of Michael Jordan, received national attention for wearing his father's shoes during games.

Jordan said he wouldn't wear adidas , citing loyalty to his family name. And so, adidas ended the lengthy relationship.

Now, not so surprisingly, the school has signed a new apparel deal with Nike.

At the New York Golf Center, Frank Cole, a club salesman, said he had seen no diminution of interest in golfers looking at the broad Nike line or the Victory Reds.

“Victory Red’s the best stuff Nike’s come out with,” he said and added that 12- to 18-year-olds were particularly devoted to Woods. “They want his shoes, they want his clubs.”

The Golfsmith store, on the East Side of Manhattan, offers a glimpse of the retail life with Woods in hiatus. About 10 feet from a table of full-price and discounted Woods apparel is a large display that draws attention away from the his shirts and pants. It shows Phil Mickelson, the smiling face of Callaway, in a promotion offering full refunds to buyers of three new drivers, from March 12 to April 7, if he wins the Masters.

the Ups and Downs of Retail Fashion

The Harmon Cove Outlet Center and the Secaucus Outlets, both of Secaucus, provide name-brand shopping at a discounted price. These outlets are the nearest to the South Bergen area. Outlet stores sell their merchandise directly through their own brand, which allows them to keep their prices reasonable.

Tommy Hilfiger's brand doesn't have the luxury image of a Louis Vuitton or a Gucci. Instead, the designer focuses on producing clothing that is "affordable, accessible, aspirational, cool American classic," a strategy that has served the company well amidst the global recession.

The fight started around 4 p.m. Thursday when Mane's group walked into the store -- popular with celebrities -- and spotted Jeezy's associates, said witness Patrick Morrison.

"There was a physical altercation inside the location between several men," Atlanta police spokesman James Polite confirmed to the AJC. One of the men produced a weapon "and as a result a private armed security guard of a local entertainer discharged his weapon."

The Harmon Cove Outlet center is located on Enterprise Avenue North in Secaucus. It houses children's clothing stores such as Carter's Childrenswear, Gymboree and The Children's Place. Adults who are searching for looks for less can go to Bon Worth, Bass, Perry Ellis, Prato Men's Wear Outlet and more. Shoe stores are also available, such as Banister Shoe Studio, Reebok and Zena Shoes. In addition to apparel, the outlet provides the following home accessories stores: Décor Home Furnishings Outlet, Lenox Factory Outlet and Kitchen Collections. There are also beauty and health stores, gift and collectible stores, and even East West Bridals for women who are planning for their special day.

"Would I like to be a luxury brand? Absolutely," Hilfiger said in a keynote address at the recent Wharton Retail Conference. "But I've been forced to deal with reality throughout my life .... I have focused on being an affordable premium design brand -- which in this economic slide has served us very well."

Ed Hardy's Quest To Take Over The World

Alas, further information has been uncovered concerning the highly anticipated clothing line of Jersey Shore's JWoWW, because we know you've been on the edge of your seats about the whole situation (no pun intended). We're all a bit shocked that Jersey Shore's JWoWW got to sit front row at the Kardashians' Bebe clothing line fashion show. But at least it was just the Kardashian show and not anything more high-fashion. But maybe JWoWW is studying for when her own upcoming clothing line hits the runway. Yeah right.

In an interview with Stylist.com the uber designer claimed her favorite designers to be Ed Hardy and Marc Jacobs. Yeah, because that makes total sense. However, ultimately J-W is going for the gothic rocker look in her designs. Hey, it's what the guidos want, and Ed Hardy is on the verge of taking over the world so why not join the dark side?

Story and photos .

JWoWW was sporting an electric blue Ed Hardy dress to Fashion Week, which isn't exactly something we would choose to wear to such a fashionable event, but maybe that's just us. In any event, now we're learning that JWoWW's upcoming clothing line may actually be a bit inspired by Ed Hardy. Sweet.

“It’s also the first time Ed Hardy has been introduced into boutiques – it’s very exclusive.”

New in business: Cache Fashion clothes 'affordable'

With no clothing item over $20, owner Ed Valero says his store is set to offer fashionable styles at a very reasonable price.

Valero said his store, which opened in January, is able to offer cheap prices because he purchases the clothing from new companies that have not yet made their mark on the fashion world.

Valero said he chose to open his store in Cape Coral the cheap clothes because he felt he could offer the city something it doesn't have.

"When you buy clothes cheap, you can sell them cheap," he said. "But we are always looking for quality."

Cache Fashion, which Valero described as an affordable boutique, sells men's, women's, kids' and infants' clothing. They sell dresses, jeans, pants, T-shirts, socks, shoes, swimming dresses, underwear and jewelry.

"The economy is so bad right now," he said. "So we offer cheaply priced clothing that looks good. We have a lot of style with no major brand names. No one looks on the inside of the clothing for the label. As long as it looks nice on you, that's what counts."

Cache is offering a 3-for-$10 special on tank tops, bras and pajamas. They are also running an underwear special - five pairs for $10.

"If you sell it cheap, you sell it fast," Valero said. "I don't try to get greedy. air jordan If I'm overcharged, I won't return to that business. If I get a good price, I return."

Valero said the store's variety should keep customers coming back for more.

"We have new arrivals every week," he said.

The band filed a claim with Lloyds, London insurance company for lost profits from the concerts. The insurance company refused to pay, claiming Bennington's injury was preexisting at the time the insurance policy was issued. Bennington begs to differ.

While business has been a bit slow in the store's first two months, Valero said he believes things will pick up as more people learn about them.

"So far it's not too bad," he said. "It's a little slow but a new business needs at least six months to a year to get its name out there."

"Cape has some boutiques, but they're all expensive," he said. "We have tried to make our a boutique with affordable prices. We try our best to offer everything."

One MVP is great, but multiple winners are a rare bird

A week ago in this space, The Race looked at the impact on MVP candidates when a team has one superstar vs. two or more.

This week, the committee is reviewing NBA history for cheap clothes MVP winners who have two or more such trophies.

Maybe this is the NBA's version of baseball's "first-ballot Hall of Famers" cutoff to differentiate its elite of the elite at Cooperstown. The Race will just lay out some numbers and let you form your own opinions about past MVP winners -- and the three guys on this week's list who have a chance to move up from one-timer status.

Bill Russell and Michael Jordan collected five each and Wilt Chamberlain was honored with four (though he curiously missed in 1961-62 after averaging his Herculean 50.4 ppg). That means four players have accounted for 20 of the 54 MVP awards since the modern version was created in 1955-56.Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, of course, is the all-time MVP leader with six honors over his remarkable career.

That leaves 17 one-and-done MVP winners, which is a far greater honor than that characterization makes it sound. The list of names still is a Who's Who and, literally, a timeline fit for Springfield, Mass.: Bob Cousy, Oscar Robertson, Wes Unseld, Willis Reed, Dave Cowens, Bob McAdoo, Bill Walton, Julius Erving, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Shaquille O'Neal, the air jordan Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.Three more players -- Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Moses Malone -- each won three MVP awards.

And four guys -- fittingly, three of the greatest power forwards in league history -- won two each: Bob Pettit, Karl Malone, Tim Duncan and playmaker Steve Nash. So that ups the "hogging" stats to 37 trophies spread around to just 11 players.

An interesting sub-plot to The Race this season, then, is whether any of the three guys on this week's list -- James, Bryant and Nowitzki -- can boost himself into an even more special club by claiming his second Maurice Podoloff trophy. That would make it 38 out of 55 by just a dozen players. Stay tuned and keep counting.

Rookie Rankings: Matthews handed reins in Utah

Wesley Matthews' unbelievable rookie season with the Jazz just keeps getting better.

Earlier this season Matthews had surprisingly become a fixture in the Jazz's rotation, starting in 19 games thanks to cheap clothes for sale of doing "whatever you need me to do." But at the trade deadline, the Jazz dealt three-year veteran Ronnie Brewer to the Memphis Grizzlies, in essence sending Matthews a message: You're our guy.

"Everybody was mad," Matthews air jordan of ESPN.com's TrueHoop. "I was mad and I benefited the most out of it. Brewer was like my older brother. We still talk every day. He took me under his wing as soon as I stepped foot here in Utah."

Since the deal, Matthews has started all seven games, averaging 10.3 points in 28.4 minutes while hitting 47.5 percent of his shots.for one of the West's powers just seven months after being passed over by all 30 teams in the 2009 Draft. More importantly, the shooting guard out of Marquette is starting

"It's incredible," Matthews of his meteoric first season. "It's a testament to all the young kids out there that if you work hard and are ready, good things can happen."If you've got an issue with the rankings, or have a question or comment for Drew Packham,. new Right roster change can give perspective on season

Did the Mavericks suddenly become tougher after a blockbuster trade deadline deal reshaped their starting lineup, sparking a season-high winning streak? A definite personality shift seems to be afoot in Dallas.

"The entire personality has not changed," Mavericks coach several years and been Rick Carlisle countered. "We still have four of the veterans that have been here fordeep into the playoffs several times."

Carlisle was referring to Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry and Erick Dampier. They're the major influences on the team's personality. That doesn't change overnight.

But the additions of Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson, coming from a miserable situation in Washington, coupled with the subtractions of Josh Howard, Drew Gooden and others have been felt in Dallas.

League observers, as well as those that have played the Mavericks since the All-Star break, have noticed the difference. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said Dallas is bigger and more physical.

Others have commented on the increased cohesion. As much as an infusion of size and talent can impact a roster, new blood brings another intangible into play.

"Coming from their situations, they have new life and that new life brings energy," Hornets forward James Posey said of the new Dallas trio. "That opportunity and better chance of winning it all, that energy right there is something the guys that have been there can feed off."

Just ask the Bobcats. Dealing for explosive/impulsive Stephen Jackson in November, plus making the trade-deadline moves for Tyrus Thomas and Theo Ratliff, have accelerated their rebuilding.

"Our defense is a lot better with them now," Jackson said recently of Thomas and Ratliff. "They make us better all around. It's just amazing what one move can do for us."

Larry Brown's team now is in the playoff chase. That was hardly the case during the franchise's first five years in the league.

"Sometimes the energy levels can change when you have new people," New Orleans coach Jeff Bower said. "I think excitement and energy is sometimes contagious. When you have guys excited to be somewhere or play for something that tends to spread."

The Bucks didn't deal for a "difference-maker," but something has clicked since the arrival of John Salmons and Co. Milwaukee had its six-game winning streak snapped on Sunday in Atlanta, but has moved up to seventh in the East.

Not all trades are about turnarounds. A deep playoff run is expected in Cleveland, so the acquisition of Antawn Jamison wasn't about nailing down a few extra wins in the regular season. Jamison also wasn't going to alter the Cavaliers' personality; LeBron James is perhaps the strongest individual presence in the league.

Jamison, though, is starting to find his groove after a rough start, which is critical with Shaquille O'Neal out for the rest of the regular season. The Cavaliers have won four straight, the league's second-longest current winning streak behind Dallas' eight-game run. Much like the new Mavs' crew, Jamison escaped a hopeless situation with the Wizards.

"For their style of play, he's a perfect fit for them," Posey said. "He has new life now, new energy. He's on a new team that's playing the right way. It's going to take some time, but he doesn't have to do it himself. He can work his way into things."

The lucky few who improved their NBA lot via trade now have a new outlook. The same might be said for a lucky few new teammates.

"Now, can the attitude change some? Yeah, sure it can change," Carlisle said. "Trades can help that. The key for us is just to keep it going in a positive-curve type direction with everything. It's challenging because the more you the cheap clothes for sale win, the more teams are gunning for you. The more your record improves, the more they feel like it's a big deal to beat you.

"But that's part of the challenge you've got to love."

February is the shortest month of the year and includes a four-day break for All-Star, but there was still enough basketball played last month for the Bucks to go from ninth place in the East (three games out of a playoff spot) to seventh, with a 1 1/2-game cushion over the Heat.

The Thunder made a similar push to put themselves in the top six in the West. At 9-2, Oklahoma City had the league's best record in February. Meanwhile, the Jazz (10-3) and Bucks (10-4) had the most wins.

Miami was both the best defensive team (allowing just 97.4 points per 100 possessions) and worst offensive team (scoring just 98.4) of the month. The best offensive team was Cleveland (113.6).

The Magic ranked fifth both offensively and defensively, but they were the best team overall, with a differential of +9.5 points per 100 possessions. The worst team overall? No, it wasn't New Jersey.

The Cavs take back the top spot in the rankings this week, but they have bigger issues to deal with. And they will have to play at least another nine games without Zydrunas Ilgauskas. cheap clothes for sale Shaquille O'Neal will have surgery on his right thumb on Monday and will likely miss the rest of the regular season.

The Clippers picked up as many wins (four) as the Nets (two) and Knicks (two) combined, but they were outscored by 8.2 points per 100 possessions over the course of the month.

That stretch could be critical as they try to hold off the Lakers for the best record in the league and home-court advantage in a potential Finals matchup. Remember that the team that starts the Finals at home has won 19 of the 25 series since the league went to the 2-3-2 format.

Cleveland currently has a one-game lead over L.A. and holds the tiebreaker. And while the Cavs have to go center-less for at least another 2 1/2 weeks, the Lakers have their own challenge: 11 of their 15 games in March are on the road.

Hero Team of the Week: Dallas (4-0) - The Mavs beat the Air Jordan Lakers for the second time this season, and then won in Atlanta two nights later. Their seven-game winning streak is their longest in more than two years.

Zero Team of the Week: Boston (1-2) - The Celtics barely beat the Knicks before getting smoked by the Cavs in the second half and then losing to the Nets for the first time in three years.

High jumps of the week: Dallas (+5), Milwaukee (+3), Six teams (+2)

Free falls of the week: Toronto (-5), Utah (-4), Boston (-3)

East vs. West: The West is 194-152 (0.561) in inter-conference games and was 16-9 this week.

Pace: Possessions per 48 minutes (League Rank)

Off: Points scored per 100 possessions (League Rank)

Def: Points allowed per 100 possessions (League Rank)

The league averages through Sunday are 95.2 possessions (per team) per 48 minutes and 104.2 points scored per 100 possessions.
